(VIDEO) Woman Charged After Kidnapping Attempt In Atlanta’s Airport

Dramatic footage reveals a scary moment for two parents fighting off a woman attempting to kidnap their children at an Atlanta airport.
The chilling video starts with showing the mother walking down the atrium with her two children at the Hartsfield Jackson Atlanta International Airport. Shortly after, is when the suspect, identified as 26-year-old Esther Daniels walks up to the mother and starting a conversation before attempting to grab the stroller the child was in, according to USA Today.
Surveillance video shows the two women struggling over the stroller until the husband ran over to help.
After releasing the stroller, police say Daniels grabbed the couple’s eldest child and began to walk away with him.
An Atlanta police traffic control officer saw what was happening and raced across the airport atrium to break up the attempted kidnapping.
“She deserves all the praise,” Atlanta police spokeswoman Tashena Brown told local television station WSB-TV. “Especially for her to have been working, really, in a civilian capacity, for her to just to jump in right away with no hesitation is amazing.”
That officer held Daniels until backup arrived.
It took three officers and a wheelchair to restrain her to escort the woman out of the airport.
“Her behavior was very erratic, but we can’t really speak on what her mental state was, but we can agree that what she did was very erratic and odd, to say the least,” Brown continued. “That’s why we go through our training and make sure, of course, we’re able to get that person in custody, hopefully without any injuries or anything like that, but they had to do what they needed to do in order to subdue her to put her into custody.”
Daniels was taken to Grady Memorial Hospital and then moved to Clayton County jail, where she was charged with kidnapping and obstruction.
The family was on its way Disney World when the attack happened. The children were evaluated at the scene but suffered no injuries.
