Must-Visit Attractions In Dubai

By Travel Noire

Dubai is a rich nation of historic culture and endless attractions, both for amusement and education. There are so many things to do, and so many undiscovered opportunities, you’ll often find yourself wandering off the beaten path. But doing so risks missing out on some great sights. With that in mind, feel free to let the spirit of Dubai be your guide, just be sure to check out the must-see locations we’ve scouted out for you below.

See Dubai from Burj Khalifa

Catapulted into fame immediately upon construction, the Burj Khalifa is the world’s tallest skyscraper. As such, it offers two stunning and large observatories. One is called At the Top, and is located on the 124th and 125th floors. If you’re more daring, head for the premium version, At the Top Sky, which is on the 148th floor. At this height, you’ll be an astonishing 555 meters above the ground.

Once you’re at the top, you’ll experience a full, 360-degree view of Dubai. The glass, floor-to-ceiling walls show everything: the city, Arabian Gulf, and vast desert beyond. At night, it is a truly magnificent sight as you’ll witness the vibrant, glowing city. By day, you’ll see the full details of the expansive land.

It’s truly tough to say which is better, as both are gorgeous in their own right. One of the best things, however, is that there are no time constraints. You will not be ushered away for taking too long. So enjoy yourself, relax, and consider even booking a special viewing: the sunrise.

The sunrise is a unique opportunity to see both views, but it is only available periodically during the winter.

Witness Dubai’s Eye-Popping Art

Dubai isn’t known the world over for their gorgeous street art, but they should be. To rectify this, Dubai has instituted a new tour. This is a particularly brilliant idea, as you’ll not only have the opportunity to witness stunning art, but also travel a path that allows you to visit some of the best retail shops along the way.

This is a long walk, and the total time (with stops, of course) can stretch as long as five hours. While it’s absolutely worth it, be sure to bring water and a hat to shield yourself, especially during the summer time. Snacks or a whole lunch is a good idea, or grab something at the local restaurants to go, and dine at the Al Khazzan Park, which is halfway along the trail.

Relax by the Magnificent Dubai Water Canal

After a long day of walking and visiting attractions, plan to watch the sunset along the Dubai Water Canal. A very recent addition launched in 2016, there is a gorgeously-constructed bridge and modern amenities of wonder. Solar powered street lights, device charging stations, and traditional abras allow you to cruise through the canal and experience an LED-illuminated waterfall. A wonderful way to cool off from the desert heat and take in a breathtaking scenic view of Dubai’s creative best.
