Set up your flight alerts now because Lin-Manuel Miranda’s new web series is sure to have you pining for Puerto Rico.

“Discover Puerto Pico with Lin-Manuel Miranda” is a new, eight-episode collaboration between the Hamilton actor and Discover Puerto Rico.

In the series, Miranda returns to his homeland to give viewers his personal recommendations for where to go on the island, with destinations that include the Old San Juan district, Isla Verde, and lush coffee farms. The show is intended to highlight the diversity of Puerto Rico, looking beyond their ecological wonders to highlight their museums, public art, theaters, artisanal local restaurants, and local sustainability initiatives. Miranda even provides a glimpse into his personal family history with a visit to the Placita de Güisín mosaic, which commemorates his paternal grandfather in Vega Alta.

Each video is about five minutes long, with guest stars that include singer-songwriter Lucecita Benítez, actress Denise Quiñones, coffee expert José Alberto Atienza Nicolau, musician Luis Sanz, journalist Mariana Reyes, salsa singer Willito Otero, and urban artist PJ Sin Suela.

Miranda has always been vocal about his Puerto Rican pride and unwavering support for the island. The actor, playwright, and composer began encouraging tourism to the island after Hurricane Maria, partnering with companies like NYC & Company and JetBlue to help boost the country’s economy.

“In addition to great beaches and tropical rainforests, Puerto Rico offers a remarkable fusion of world-class cultural, artistic and gastronomic experiences,” said Miranda. “In this series, we sought to highlight some of those hidden treasures that make Puerto Rico an unparalleled destination with something for everyone.”
