The World’s Cleanest Airlines Revealed In New Survey

By Parker Diakite

It’s no secret that airports rank as some of the top places for germs, so that means airplanes are no different.

Headrests, seat pockets, bathroom handles, tray tables, and even seat belts are some of the filthiest surfaces on planes, but have you ever wondered how clean your aircraft is when traveling?

A new survey by Skytrax asked passengers to rate the standard and quality of aircraft cabins for a global survey in its quest to find the cleanest airlines.

More than 20 million eligible survey entries were used, and as a part of its Annual World Airline Awards, Skytrax has just announced the winners of its 2018 survey to find the cleanest aircraft cabins in the world.

Asian airlines dominated the list, but airline carriers from both the United States and the United Kingdom did not make any of the top spots.

Japan’s All Nippon Airways was named the cleanest airline in the world.

Seat areas, tables, carpets, cabin panels, and washrooms were all part of the overall score.

ANA was awarded the honor in front of Taiwan’s EVA Air and South Korea’s Asiana Airlines.
