Have you ever wanted to wake up to the sounds of New York City in one of its beautiful luxury hotels for half the price? Here is your chance.

Hotels in the Big Apple are dropping their rates dramatically for the city’s Hotel Week. Starting from January 4 until January 14, some of the NYC’s most luxurious spots have rooms for rates as low as $100 a night. You may want to jump at this opportunity quick. The average cost for a night in a New York City hotel is $281.

When we say luxury hotel, we aren’t talking about your average Marriott hotel with some upgrades. We’re talking historic hotels like the Wolcott Hotel. Originally built in 1904, the hotel offers breathtaking views of the city from high heights. Typically, rates at the Wolcott start at $250, but during the special, they are listed at $100 a night. If you want to keep the old school vibes, the Kitano Hotel in Midtown is excellent as well. With standard rates starting at $285 a night, you can stay here for only $200 a night. The hotel has 150 rooms with soundproof windows for a peaceful night’s sleep. They also offer a complimentary breakfast, and we’re not talking about waffles and bacon. They take it up a notch by offering a Japanese breakfast buffet.

For the tourist in you, try booking a room at one of NYC’s boutique Library Collections. Located near the New York City Public Library, each guestroom, and floor pays homage to the Dewey Decimal System. Guests can enjoy room themes like Erotic Literature (Room 800.001), Music (700.005) or Botany (500.004). In your downtime, take advantage of the 100 books provided in each room.

Other hotels are participating in this special event, like the William Vale hotel in downtown Brooklyn and the new 50 Bowery hotel in the heart of Chinatown. 50 Bowery is the first Joie de Vivre hotel in the Big Apple and is making a lot of noise because of its prime location. Staying here puts you almost in walking distance to SoHo, the Lower East Side, Tribeca, and Brooklyn, since its so close to the Manhattan Bridge.
