A New Directory For Black-Owned Businesses Is On The Market
By Parker Diakite
There’s a new directory on the market that aims to connect black consumers with black-owned companies.
The Directory of Black Owned Businesses and Organizations – dobobo – is an opportunity for black-owned businesses to expose their services to millions of people by offering affordable advertising for business owners.
“We want to help you succeed, grow and be prosperous,” a statement from the company’s website reads. “We have developed an internet platform to support and publicize your Black-owned businesses and organizations in the African/American communities.”
Consumers will have the chance to search through a catalog on the dobobo website to find what they’re looking for. Categories include entertainment, attractions, shopping and retail, personal care, and more.
According to Black Enterprise, the first 200 businesses or organizations that provide their listing information by Nov. 30, 2019, will receive a free one-year Silver listing in the directory.
Businesses will need to send the following information to firstname.lastname@example.org:
* Business Name
* Business Contact Information (i.e. phone, email, and address)
* Website address (if applicable)
* Business Description (up to 1000 characters)
* Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and/or YouTube links (if applicable)
* Special Offers (if applicable)
* Business Hours
