Dubrovnik City Walls

The historic city wall protecting Dubrovnik is one of the main tourists’ attractions here. Dating back to the 13th century, a walk along this wall is a must do for anyone visiting Dubrovnik. Consisting of 17 towers, five bastions, two corner fortifications, and the St. John Fortress, this is the perfect way to begin your tour. It is, however, important to know that this protective wall has been reinforced a couple of times ever since it was built.

Explore the old town

One old the main reasons why you want to make sure that you explore the old town id because it is precisely where historical events took place. Today, the old town is filled with bars and restaurants that offer some of the best dishes. You should also take note of some of the major streets on the town because they bear evidence of some of the traditional functions that took place in the past. Exploring the old town is better done on foot because the streets are small and sometimes human traffic is high. It’s also good to know that a more significant portion of Dubrovnik historic monuments and museums are inside the old town.

Cable car ride


Nothing beats the old fashion cable car ride, especially in Dubrovnik. Beautifully positioned along the sea, an aerial view of the city is mind-blowing. To add on the incredible sight, you are also able to enjoy your snacks or drink while your eyes discover a version of Dubrovnik that you can never see when your two feet are on the ground. The cable car ride has been considered one of the major tourists’ attractions since no tourist wants to leave Dubrovnik without taking a trip.

Lokrum natural reserve

Lokrum is the largest park in Dubrovnik. It’s one of the most preferred places for families that want to learn more about nature. It is the best way to get away from the busy city life and still get the chance of experiencing the best of what Dubrovnik has to offer. With other fun things to do in the Lokrum like swimming, it will not hurt taking a day off to spend some time surrounded by natures beauty. It is, however, essential to know that an overnight stay in the park is not allowed.

There are so many things to see in Dubrovnik, and that is why you need an organized tour plan. From indigenous plants and animals in the park to going around the wall of the old town, Dubrovnik offers a beautiful tourist destination for anyone eager to visit this place.
