The Duke and Duchess of Sussex reportedly engaged in some much-needed alone time before the arrival of their baby.
Meghan Markle and her royal hubby, Prince Harry, reportedly spent three nights at a five-star hotel at the Heckfield Place about an hour outside of London, according to a report from PEOPLE.
According to PEOPLE, the two stayed in a suite that cost £10,000 per night, which is $13,000 USD. The secluded apartment includes an English oak kitchen and an outdoor dining terrace, according to the Heckfield’s website. The bathroom even includes a chandelier.
“Breakfast on a private terrace at sunrise; an afternoon with a good book curled up in a window seat; supper with friends as the log fire crackles,” reads a description of the Long Room, which the couple reportedly stayed in.
The hotel, which isn’t far from their current home, seems to be the perfect getaway for the newlywed couple ahead of the birth of their first child, expected sometime in the spring. No announcement has been made about Markle’s due date or the gender of the child.
In October 2018, Kensington Palace announced on Twitter that the royal couple was expecting their first child.
“Their Royal Highnesses The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are very pleased to announce that The Duchess of Sussex is expecting a baby in the Spring of 2019,” according to the tweet.
