There’s so much to love about Accra, Ghana – including its nightlife.

One area that attracts both locals and visitors to its night scene is the area called Osu. The area is known for its restaurants, clubs, street food, casinos, clubs, and lounges. The majority of these activities are centered on Oxford Street – the main road in the district.  

Don’t be surprised during your trip if your group of friends or the locals point you to Osu for fun.  It’s for good reason, which is why we have compiled a list of everything you need to know about Osu.

Your Guide To Osu’s Nightlife

The Republic Bar is a favorite night time destination for many Osu-goers. Other popular clubs include Bella Roma, Venus Lounge Bar and Grille, and Carbon.

Kona Bar and Grill is the best place in Osu to enjoy a night out with live music and Shisha Lounge is famous for a wide selection of shisha flavors, good food, and even better cocktails.

Firefly Lounge Bar is a great spot for those of you traveling alone because it’s one of those places that you will truly never feel alone.   It’s a cool and classy place that has managed to slide its way to the forefront of the city’s social scene.  Just keep in mind that it’s a small venue that gets packed fast!

Osu Is More Than Nightlife

As we previously mentioned,  Osu has some pretty amazing restaurants and boutiques. 

All you have to do is take a walk along Oxford Street where you find artworks, including paintings and sculptures, and vendors selling contemporary fashions,  jewelry, accessories, and even decorations for your home.

When it comes to where to purchase local cuisine in Osu, Buka Restaurant and Chez Clarisse are other eateries where you can find fufu, banku, stew, and peanut soup.
