Airline travel isn’t always the most comfortable form of transportation. If you often feel cramped when settling into those narrow airplane seats, you’re certainly not alone. However, with a recent, major redesign, JetBlue may now become your favorite airline. The low-cost U.S. airline carrier is making moves to improve your experience through their latest cabin updates.

JetBlue recently rolled out their newest economy-class cabins that feature the most legroom of any U.S. airline. The seats are now the widest available for the Airbus A320, which makes up the majority of the airlines’ fleet of airplanes.

The expanded seat width of more than 18 inches will make a big difference in the overall comfort and spaciousness of airline travel allowing for more personal space between passengers and more area to move around. Those traveling with babies and young children will especially enjoy this new feature.

According to MSN.com, other new features included in the recent JetBlue cabin redesign are adjustable headrests, redesigned seat-back storage options, and easy access power outlets available at every seat. If connectivity is a priority for your airline travel, you’ll also be happy to hear that the airline has extended its wifi coverage to the Caribbean and Latin America. They’ve also updated their in-flight entertainment systems to feature HD television screens, a wider selection of channels, and new mobile pairing capabilities.

As the sixth largest airline in the United States, millions of passengers will be flying JetBlue this year with some serious added comfort that we can all agree is much needed and long overdue. We can only hope that more airlines take notice of JetBlue’s progress and that the trend toward passenger comfort catches on quickly.
