Los Angeles’ Skid Row is one of the nation’s largest homeless communities. Often times, celebrities are seen doing what they can to go out and help those in the area.

Jaden Smith, son of Will and Jada Pinkett-Smith, took things up a notch this past weekend. He officially launched his new Food Truck, I Love You Restaurant, and in the process fed hundreds of less fortunate people for free.

It is said to be a pop-up venture that will serve fresh vegan meals to those who cannot afford them otherwise. Smith, took to Instagram to talk about the business.

“I Love You Restaurant is a movement that is all about giving people what they deserve, healthy, vegan food for free,” Smith said in captioned three Instagram posts from his Sunday debut. “Today we launched our first one-day food truck pop-up in Downtown L.A.”

“Keep a look out because this is the first of many,” he added, using the hashtag, #JADENinc.

Many celebrities praised Smith for the work that he is doing. People like Kevin Hart, singer SZA, LaLa Anthony, and several others gave the 21-year old compliments for using his influence to do something meaningful in his community.

Smith also explained in the posts, that this would not be a one-time thing. He plans to host several of these one-day pop-ups via his food truck and that all of the food will be free.

Hopefully it will make its way to other cities as well. He was able to hand out hundreds of fresh meals with the help of several volunteers.

Will and Jada have not commented on their son’s latest project, but we can all assume that they are extremely happy and proud of their son for giving back to those in need.

Hopefully more celerities will follow in his footsteps.
