Amanda Seales Reveals 7 Items She Can’t Travel Without
By Rachel George
Everyone has a few essential items they just can’t travel without. It could be your favorite hairbrush, a specific kind of tea, or even your favorite socks because your feet always get cold at night.
Since her rise to success, comedian and “Insecure” actress, Amanda Seales, has been traveling in style — flying first class, staying in luxury hotels, and drinking $37 bottles of water that most would leave sitting in the hotel room. But when you have the money, who cares.
“I’m really fortunate because at this point in my career I’ve already done the grind and grit of it all,” she told the New York Times.
As someone whose job requires her to travel often, Amanda Seales has a few essentials of her own. Here are seven items Amanda Seales can’t travel without.
To combat her feelings of sickness, and to keep her looking her best, Seales wears a black charcoal mask on the plane. “I feel like I’m a ninja when I’m in the air. It also makes people feel like they can’t talk to you, so that’s fantastic,” she says.
Red Lipstick and Heels
She’s either glammed up in some red lipstick or pairing a tracksuit with a unique pair of heels. Take these baby blue colored heels for instance. Either way, when Amanda Seales travels, she’s always ready for a night on the town and screwing “up everybody’s concept of what fashion is.”
Imagine getting that awkward stare from a TSA agent after you tell them there’s a vibrator in your pocket. Someone’s going to be embarrassed but either way, Amanda Seales is always going to “flip the awkward.”
You’ve now been warned, nobody’s touching her tracksuit game. At this point, people have come to understand, if you’re looking for fly tracksuits or jumpsuit, look no further: Amanda Seales, she’s the one. She shared, “If you’re reading this, stop, don’t even think about it, you’re wasting your time.”
Personal Hotel Shoes
Sealess travels with her own “hotel shoes”. She’s got slippers for the room and flip-flops for the shower.
“I was never a germaphobe until I had to be in hotel rooms so excessively. Then it was like, I’m not going to become a germaphobe but I’m going to become germaphobe-ish,” she says,
Nothing says free promo like wearing your own brand. Rather than spending a bag on a new outfit, Seales wears her own merch during her stand up gigs.
“I do standup and at one point I just decided, I’m not going to be trying to figure out what I’m wearing anymore.”
Here she is in her “Blackspert” shirt from her line.
Scented Candles and Hermes Scarves
Creating the ambiance away from home is so important for self-care. Especially if you’re going to be gone for a while. Amanda Seales travels with candles and Hermès scarves to spruce up her hotel rooms with a little love, light, and color.
“I never used to care about this, but once you’re in hotel rooms a lot, you just start caring about ambiance,” says Seales.
