These last 4 years have been incredibly awesome, insane, draining and unpredictable often at the same time, sometimes in the same day. My travels have consisted of mainly work: shooting two shows, speaking engagements, for brands, media appearances etc. As much as it has been for “Me”, in part it hasn’t felt like that. Being pulled in a million directions has become a “new normal” for me and I fight it everyday. But the fact is… things have changed. Both a blessing and a curse. When I started this journey in 2010 it was me and my tripod, traversing the world, doing what people said I shouldn’t or couldn’t. I had a blast proving so many people wrong and more importantly proving myself RIGHT and what I was capable of. So after my last speaking engagement in Libson for a major company whom I’ll announce my partnership with soon, I decided to get back to my #KelleeSetGo ! roots & hop over the the #Azores , with my tripod, camera, drone, grit, wit and immense desire to be one with the great outdoors… alone. I needed this. BADLY. Two things came from this… the first is I realized how spoiled I’d become having so many people cater to my every need and want on travels. Embarrassing to admit but I needed to write and say this out loud so that I could both process and appreciate. Thank you to those who have taken amazing care of me of the road. Secondly, that 9 years older and later after starting this adventure I still got it. That I CAN climb the highest mountains, navigate in places I’ve never stepped foot in before with an ease that’s uncanny, drive the hell out of a stick shift because there were no other options, have a presence that tells people I may be a foreigner, but I’m no fool, so don’t try me, yet approachable enough to know that yes, I’ll take a million amazing pictures of you, no problem. But mostly it’s amazing to see how far I’ve come, while knowing this STILL is just the beginning. So cheers to me & the amazing mountains I’ve yet to climb & horizons that are never ending. It’s a beautiful view from the top, I’m going to enjoy while it lasts, as nothing is forever. #getoutside #adventure #explore #travel #outdoorwomen #adventuretime #exploremore
