Hey Philly friends. Are you looking for a low price winter escape? Well, we found the perfect trip for you. American Airlines is advertising nonstop flights from Philadelphia to San Juan, Puerto Rico for only $195 roundtrip.

This deal is valid for travel between January and February of 2020, right in the middle of winter. We found this deal on Priceline by searching the dates 2/3- 2/11. You can likely check Google Flights to find shorter date options as well.

Keep in mind that this deal is part of American’s basic economy fare. There are some restrictions, so you should check the website for details.

San Juan has pretty much recovered completely and is definitely open to tourism. The island was hit hard by Hurricane Maria in 2017 but things are looking up again for the country.

San Juan offers something for everyone. Start by walking the cobblestone roads filled with colorful colonial homes in Old San Juan. Snap a picture in front of the mural of the nation’s flag.

Relax at one of the many beautiful beaches and try some watersports. If you are into nature, check out El Yunque rainforest for a hike and impressive waterfalls. You could also do a self-guided tour.

Lastly, be sure to indulge yourself in authentic Puerto Rican cuisine. A must-try dish is Mofongo, a mound of plantains into which seafood, meats, and vegetables are added.
