Multiple airlines have dropped their fares for roundtrip routes to Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago. The lowest priced route is from Fort Lauderdale, Florida for $220 roundtrip. This route does include a layover.

Other low priced fares can be found leaving from New York, D.C., and Atlanta. Most routes are for the month of October. Use Google Flights to book your flight.

Trinidad and Tobago, officially the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago, is a twin island sovereign state that is the southernmost nation of the West Indies in the Caribbean. It is 130 kilometers south of Grenada off the northern edge of the South American mainland and 11 kilometers off the coast of northeastern Venezuela.

Trinidad is most known for its popular carnival festival full of music and dancing in the streets. The highlight of the celebration is  J’ouvert. (French creole for “day open.”)

The island is popular for nature lovers and bird-watchers, as there are over 250 species of birds. If you are looking for beaches, head over to Tobago. The best beaches are near the southern end, including Store Bay and Pigeon Point.

Pigeon point is the islands most popular beach. It has all of the amenities you will find at any Caribbean beach: coconut trees, white sand, and clear water. There is a $3 entrance fee to enter the beach. There is an additional fee to rent beach chairs.

If you are looking for a free option, you can check out Store Bay. This beach has lots of street food vendors nearby and visitors can watch planes take off and land at the nearby airport.

If you are interested in snorkeling take a glass-bottom boat tour out to Buccoo Reef to see a wide variety of fish and coral. The tours typically last two-hours and include snorkeling equipment and a trip to Nylon Pool (a natural, in-sea, coral pool).

This deal won’t last long so hop on it as soon as possible.
