Flight Deal: Non-Stop To New Orleans For Only $97
By DeAnna Taylor
It is always a good time to take a quick trip down to New Orleans, Louisiana. Right now, American Airlines has reduced its prices on routes from Chicago to New Orleans. The lowest-priced flights can be found for only $97.
These routes are valid for travel from mid-August through mid-September. To ensure you’re getting the lowest fare, it is best to use Priceline as your search engine.
These sale routes are a part of American Airlines basic economy fare class. This fare class was introduced by many of the major U.S. carriers a few years ago. While many people see the word basic and automatically assume they will have a bad flight experience, that is not always the case.
Under basic economy the following restrictions apply:
- You cannot select your seat prior to check-in. If you need specific seating, you will need to opt for the regular economy option. Otherwise, your seat will be randomly assigned.
- You cannot make changes to your reservation once it is confirmed.
- You are allotted a carry-on bag and a personal item. Checked luggage does come at a higher price than it would under regular economy.
Other than these rules, you have the same options as those flying on a regular economy ticket.
New Orleans is the perfect domestic vacation spot. It is a city filled with food, fun, and culture.
For my art lovers, NOLA is your perfect destination. This city is filled with some of the most unique galleries. Check out Studio Be located in the Bywater. This warehouse-turned-gallery displays artwork that represents the black experience like no other. While you are in the Bywater neighborhood, snap the perfect Instagram photo in front of the colorful homes and murals.
Another unique spot to check out is the Ashley Longshore Gallery. The artist and owner uses bright colors and quirky expressions to draw in customers.
