Flight Deal: Multiple Cities To South America As Low As $172

By DeAnna Taylor

If you have been tracking flights to South America lately, without any luck, we have good news.

Mexican-based airline, InterJet, just dropped an insane sale on routes from multiple U.S. cities to Lima, Peru or Bogota, Colombia. The lowest price found was from Chicago to Lima for only $172 roundtrip.

Other departure cities include New York City, Dallas, Los Angeles, and Houston. As mentioned, this sale also flys to Bogota, Colombia.

It appears that this deal is good for those able to travel between May and June of next year. To find your dates, use Skyscanner. Select from the mentioned departure cities and one of the arrival destinations. To make things easier, filter your search by month. Once you run the search, the lowest price date combinations should show up in green.

The website will provide several links to purchase and book your seat.

Keep in mind, this is not a direct flight. Many of the routes have layovers in Mexico. They vary in time, but you can possibly do a little exploring in between.

According to the airline’s website, under this promotion, you will be allowed 2 carry-on bags that don’t exceed 22 pounds as well as one piece of checked luggage at no more than 25 pounds. The only restrictions are that you cannot select your seat prior to check-in and you cannot make changes to your reservation once it is confirmed. Per the law, you always have 24-hours to cancel a flight for a full refund.

Lima, Peru is one of the largest and most exciting cities in all of South America, and you could find yourself exploring the historical coastal city next year.

Once you’re in Lima, a visit to the bustling Plaza de Armas is a must, and you’ll want to marvel at the ancient Huaca Pucllana pyramids and take in coastal views while strolling the Miraflores boardwalk.

The nightlife in Lima is legendary, so be sure to sip on the country’s most famous cocktail, the Pisco Sour, while you explore the gorgeous bars and restaurants around the city. You’ll also want to work on a trip to Machu Picchu if time permits, which is less than a two-hour flight from Lima.

Hurry, this deal will definitely sell out fast.
