The low-priced flights have dates starting in January through early March. You can find departures from Charlotte that will price out for under $500. This is an excellent price because flights from Charlotte to Amsterdam are generally over $800 roundtrip.

Flights out of D.C. are as low as $333 round trip via Icelandair. If you want to fly nonstop, you can fly with KLM for about $100 more.

Cycling is key to the city’s character, and there are numerous bike paths.
