Flight Deal: Fly Nonstop From Philly To Puerto Rico For Only $200
By DeAnna Taylor
Hey Philly, are you looking to start planning your 2020 travel calendar? We have a deal you should add. American Airlines has dropped prices on its nonstop routes from Philly to San Juan, Puerto Rico. The lowest price found is only $200 roundtrip.
This deal is valid for travel from late January until early March. To find the deal, head to Priceline to search for the dates that work best for you.
You will have a few restrictions with this deal because it is a part of the basic economy fare class. Under this fare:
- You cannot select your seat prior to travel. A seat will be randomly assigned on the day you fly.
- You cannot make changes to the ticket once it is confirmed. Nor can you upgrade.
- You will be limited to one carry-on and one personal item only.
Otherwise, you will be provided the same amenities as passengers in regular economy.
San Juan offers something for everyone. Start by walking the cobblestone roads filled with colorful colonial homes in Old San Juan. Snap a picture in front of the mural of the nation’s flag.
Relax at one of the many beautiful beaches and try some water sports. If you are into nature, check out El Yunque rainforest for a hike and impressive waterfalls. Before booking any tours, ask what areas are still closed due to hurricane recovery to determine if it is worth the money. You could also do a self-guided tour.
Lastly, be sure to indulge yourself on authentic Puerto Rican cuisine. A must-try dish is Mofongo, a mound of plantains into which seafood, meats, and vegetables are added.
If you are looking for a quick escape, this is the deal for you. Remember that passports are not required for U.S. citizens to travel to Puerto Rico. Hurry and grab your fight before prices rise again.
