It’s no secret that a trip to Tahiti is pricey.  On average, a round-trip flight from the United States can be priced anywhere from $1,500 to $2,000. After plugging in some dates, we found some flights to Papeete, the capital of Tahiti, with prices in the high $400s.

Delta Airlines has reduced prices on flights from Washington, D.C. to Papeete, French Polynesia in Tahiti. The lowest priced routes start at only $493 roundtrip.

This deal has a bunch of random dates ranging from late April through the end of the year. It is best to use Priceline to search for and find the lowest prices. Some of the dates do come with some long layovers in parts of the United States, so you will need to plan around that as well.

Americans do not need a visa to head to Tahiti. You will only need a valid passport to be granted entry.

While there, it is suggested to book a tour and explore the small island. Most tours are done on a jeep, so you’ll ride in the back and make stops here and there. Then relax on the beach and sip on a fruity drink or three.

Tahiti is also an easy place for island hopping. You can head to the beautiful island of Moorea. You can even make the once-in-a-lifetime trip to Bora Bora. In Bora Bora, you can look forward to beautiful beaches, unbelievable snorkeling where stingrays and sharks are in abundance, diving, parasailing, helicopter rides and so much more.

We’re not sure how long this deal will last so you may want to hop on this ASAP. Deals like this don’t come around very often.
