The flavors of the Caribbean islands have expanded their influence to the United Arab Emirates with Oh Brgr, the first Caribbean burger spot in Dubai.

Oh Brgr opened for business on October 3rd at Jumeirah Lakes Towers (JLT), amongst lots of other food options including Indian, Vietnamese…etc.

The chefs behind the brand are both Caribbean, originating from Jamaica and Dominica. They incorporated the tastes of their home countries with the classic recipe of a burger and developed burgers with a unique Caribbean twist.

If you’re not a meat-eater, don’t fret, there is a veggie burger option made with lentils. The rest of the menu is very minimal and has two meat options: Keep It Simple (100% wagyu beef patty with red caramelized onions, swiss cheese & spicy island mayo) and the Caribbean Jerk Brgr (jerk marinated chicken breast with pineapple chutney & pepper jack cheese).

Other options include onion rings, sweet potato fries, turkey bacon, and the Oh Brgr signature beet ketchup.

The team at Oh Brgr tells Time Out Dubai, “Oh Brgr is the first authentic Caribbean inspired burger brand in Dubai. Our chefs originate from the tropical Caribbean islands of Dominica and Jamaica and bring that flare and flavor into all our homemade recipes. We have created an island-inspired menu with a spin on the traditional burger classic.”

According to the Oh Brgr site, they work with local suppliers in Dubai to source the freshest ingredients in the region.

Oh Brgr is also available for hungry tourists and locals to order via Uber Eats and Deliveroo.
