Essence Festival Brings A Wellness House To New Orleans

Essence Festival is taking place in New Orleans this weekend and in an effort to promote mental health, they’ve organized a wellness house featuring educational and motivational conversations with some of today’s leading health and wellness experts.

The Essence Wellness House is comprised of programming targeted to mental, physical and relationship wellness. Group workouts by leading fitness instructors spanning fitness genres such as kickboxing, yoga, pilates, aerobics and more, will be taking place at the Essence Wellness House. There will also be healthy living conversations, mental health advice, expert nutrition and wellness advice and opportunities to experience a variety of holistic healing remedies.

The Essence Wellness House will be located at The Lighthouse Glass Gallery on 743 Camp Street and will take place on Saturday, July 6, 8AM-4PM and Sunday, July 7, 8AM-3PM. A few notable participants include mental health expert Dr. Jess, Grammy award winner & wellness advocate Melanie Fiona, fitness instructor Trap Yoga Bae, and author Mashonda Firere.
