Berlin offers lots and lots of restaurants and places to eat. However, due to different culture and cuisines, a tourist may end up going to the right place and ordering the wrong food or going to the wrong place and ordering the right food. This could lead to disappointment. Below are some of the German foods you could order in Berlin and where you can find them.

Some Wiener schnitzel at KaDeWe

This is an Austrian cuisine normally spelled as Wienerschnitzel in Austria. It consists of thin slices of breaded veal that is panfried. The best Wiener Schnitzel in Berlin is what they serve at the Kaufhaus des Westens (KeDeWe) on the Sixth Floor.  You watch as the food is prepared right in front of you so that you can enjoy the passion they put into it and taste is just as passionate. Their meat is just excellent as well as their side dishes and salads.

Enjoy a good Serving of Mixed Meat Platter at Zweistrom

Mixed meat platter is a favorite European food consisting of different selections of meat from different animals. Zweistrom offers a particular Middle Eastern mixed meat platter that just blows off your mind. Their meats are all so juicy and soft and well seasoned you’ll be wetting your tongue all through. The place has lots of customers, arrive early. The place is located at the Kollwitzstrasse 104.

Currywurst at 36 West Berlin

This is a German fast food that consists of a sliced pork sausage seasoned with curry ketchup. The best place to get your Currywurst is the 36 West Berlin where like Zweistrom, the demand is high, and early arrival will do you some good. They serve with the best French fries you’ve ever tasted, and their meat is soft and juicy.

Gemüsedöner at Mustafas

Gemusedoner is simply the German word for vegetables. At Mustafas, you’ll be served the best Gemüsedöner in the word. They serve it mostly with chicken meat just like most Germans love. Their chicken is well stuffed and grilled, and their potatoes are just out of this world. Better still, prices at Mustafas are comparatively low despite their undeniable popularity. No wonder they always have such long lines.

Some Käsespätzle at Lebensmittel Mitte

Käsespätzle is a traditional Swiss cuisine. Spaetzle is a type of egg noodle that is made from a coarsely ground form of durum wheat. Käsespätzle is simply spaetzle covered with lots of cheese. When you are not in Southern Germany or Switzerland where local grandmas can fix you the best Käsespätzle, you’ll have to visit Lebensmittel Mitte in Berlin for your equally good alternative. As the name suggests, the point is located in Mitte district of Berlin. Remember to be very hungry when you visit; this tiny food can fill you up like a balloon within seconds.

Rodizio at Villa Rodizio

This is a Brazilian steakhouse where you eat all you can eat for a fixed amount. Waiters will show up with all types of tantalizing steaks, and all you do is pick and eat.
