Dubai Restaurants: Best Local Cuisine

By Travel Noire

Dubai will throw so many thrills at you that you’ll often find that stopping to dine is almost an afterthought. Don’t let this happen to you! Dubai has incredible food, steeped in rich culture. You won’t be able to sample this level of cuisine anywhere else in the world, so be sure to plan accordingly. To help, we’ve staked out the best places you won’t want to miss during your visit to Dubai.

Visit the Al Dawaar Revolving Restaurant and Lounge

The first restaurant on our list, in the spirit of Dubai, wouldn’t be complete if it wasn’t only a great opportunity for culinary excellence but also an unforgettable experience in and of itself. The only revolving rooftop revolving restaurant in Dubai, Al Dawaar is a relaxed lounge featuring incredible international foods. The indoor décor is a combination of modern and colonial.

The food is exquisite and paired with delicious modern drinks. In particular, we love the fresh sushi and tandoori on offer. The food is fresh, vibrant, and varied. Pair it with one of their many, many champagne offerings, which range from delicious mid-range to over-the-top extravagant.

This is not only Dubai’s, but one of the world’s, few rotating rooftop restaurants, so be sure not to miss it.

Take in the Beach at Wavebreaker

Perfect for the cooler days, Wavebreaker allows you to soak in the sun or sit under an umbrella while enjoying your meals. And you certainly will enjoy your meals, which focus on grilled and smoked meats and seafood, but with plenty of vegetarian options and favorites from Mexico.

In particular, we love the falafel pita sandwich. If you’re up for it, there’s The Jawbreaker, which is a massive burger that probably even two people won’t have room for. They also feature an incredible Canadian lobster cooked directly out of the tank. They’re also known for a great variety of cocktails, beer buckets, cider, and more. There’s nothing better than cooling off under an umbrella on the beach with a fine cocktail.

Relax in Class at Yalumba

Yalumba is a very warm and inviting place. Recipient of many international awards, it is a balance of class and atmosphere that you’ll find leaves you right at home. Named for the Yalumba wine region of South Australia, you’ll find earthy and soft tones in everything they do, in their unbelievable dishes and rustic décor.

Yalumba proudly hosts a number of first-class chefs in its interactive kitchen, eatery, and barbeque grill. Somehow, despite the variety of food, ranging from Pan Arab, Asian, European, and Indian, Yalumba manages to please everyone with exceptional flavor. With so many cuisines mingling in the air, Yalumba is rich in aromas that will leave you wishing you could sample much more than you order.

Yalumba is perfect for a variety of occasions, be it a romantic date, a business part, or a signature event for the whole family. Foodies worldwide recognize it as one of Dubai’s best locations.
