Summertime ‘Chi’ Just Got Better With This Interactive Mural Map

Chicago, Chicago. While the news may try to only show us the bad, we know otherwise. This city is one of the dopest cities across America, especially during the summer. There’s nothing like “Summertime Chi.”
A great attraction around the city are its murals and mosaics. Just like any city, people love to seek out their favorites and snap the perfect photo in front of it. After all, if you don’t take a photo, did it even happen?
While mural hopping can bring about a fun day of exploring, sometimes you just want to get to them without spending hours trying to figure out their exact location.
The folks at the Chicago Sun-Times realized this, so they stepped up to the plate. They recently started an interactive map that will give exact locations of the city’s best street art. Since artists frequently add new pieces, the map is scheduled to be updated once a week.
On the map, you’ll find a legend that tells what category of mural it is. Things like heritage, social justice causes, sports, and even nature. Each category is labeled by a special symbol.
Additionally, you will be able to get the exact location of the piece, who the artist is, and even a link to the artist’s website if known.
This new map will definitely come in handy for those who love street art and it will likely push other cities to implement something similar in the near future.

Do you think other cities should implement something similar?
