In the latest episode of our Breaking Borders & Barriers series, we speak with Nathan Fluellen, better known as “World Wide Nate.”

Nathan is a producer and travel blogger. His entry into the travel world was a bit unconventional. The success of his MySpace blog graduated to him buying a camcorder and his career took off from there. Now, Nathan travels the world documenting his adventures on social media and on his television show, World Wide Nate: African Adventures.

“I feel I’m a trailblazer, and I’m inspiring people to new things and new opportunities and showing them that we can do more than what society has assigned us, especially as black people,” Nathan says. “So that box? I never lived in it. I live outside of it. I actually just stomped on it and destroyed it a while ago.”
