Book A Trip To The Bahamas Today And This Site Will Donate 100% Of The Profits

Now that Hurricane Dorian has passed, the Bahamas is ready to welcome visitors back to the island. For travelers who are ready to book their Caribbean getaway, the site CheapCaribbean is donating 100% of profits to the National Association of the Bahamas for bookings made on Tuesday, September 17th. The site is also matching donations up to $50,000 (or up to $1,000 per person) through October 15.
If you want to support the cause, but aren’t ready to book a trip, you can purchase one of CheapCaribbean’s “We Love You, Bahamas” t-shirts as those profits will also be donated.
In an interview with Travel+Leisure, Michael Lowery, the president of CheapCaribbean, emphasized that the best way to help the Bahamas recover from Hurricane Dorian is to visit the island as a tourist.
“With tourism accounting for half of the Bahamas’ gross domestic product, the destination is highly dependent on inbound travel,” he said, “While donating is an important means for supporting a destination post-disaster, tourism can make a long-term impact.”
