Country #94 Brunei If I'm being completely honest, this was one of the least excited I've been to visit a new country. Pretty much every source of research said the same things. It's boring, quiet, and strict. Well, Brunei is a great example of why I take other peoples advice with a grain of salt. After two days here I've had an absolute blast. Delicious food, kind people, chill vibe, and extremely clean. Brunei is a welcome change of pace from the chaos I usually chase. It's true there isn't much to do here. Alcohol and clubs are banned. And the streets are pretty deserted at night. But what I've found here is quality of quantity and can honestly say these are some of the most genuine people I've come across. This was shot inside Omar Ali Saifuddien Mosque in Bandar Seri Begawan. Brunei's capital. Shortly after this I saw families riding bikes and chasing bubbles in the park, boats taxing people over to the worlds largest floating village, and saw a man training Falcons……..yes I said training Falcons. I have two more days here and look forward to sharing more information about this tiny but charming nation. Country #94 has truly been memorable. 15 months since my #93 and it feels good to be moving forward on this journey to every country again. Have you ever been surprised by a new travel destination? Experienced a place the critics got wrong? Where? #brunei #countrycounting #blacktravel
