Italy is known around the world for having some of the best food on the planet, but in a country famous for pizza, pasta and seafood, how can you decide on where to dine while visiting? We asked three travelers to share where they ate while visiting cities like Rome and Florence, the island of Capri and Cinque Terre and their answers will make you want to book that Italian food tour asap.

Taelor: Buca Mario in Florence and anywhere along the coast of Positano. You must try the Foccacia in Cinque Terre, as they are known for having the best Foccacia in all of Italy.

Adria: Favorite restaurant in Sorrento was Zi’Ntonio located on the water in Marina Grande – a small fishing village in Sorrento, Italy.

Favorite restaurants in Positano were La Pergola and Buca de Bacco.

Favorite restaurant in Capri was Scialapopolo All’Onda D’Oro.  This restaurant offered such a peaceful setting and was located near the shore with views of the Faraglioni.  We also had gelato in the Piazza Umberto and enjoyed another meal at a restaurant in the Marina Piccola – I believe this restaurant was L’Approdo.

Rahiem:  One of my favorite places in Rome was a restaurant called Numbs Piazza Di Spagna. It was a lovely place near the Spanish Steps at the corner of a lively block. It has really delicious food with a great atmosphere. I stumbled across this restaurant while walking down one of the many back streets in Rome. It was decent looking, the food on the plates of the people eating curbside looked appetizing and there was a man with a great voice singing on the street corner directly across from the restaurant. It was somewhat of a tourist spot because of its location, but I didn’t have a problem with that. I ordered the Ravioli Ricotta e Spinaci and enjoyed every bite. The staff was also very charming and welcoming.
