The first month of the year is a great time to kick off some of those destinations on your New Year’s Travel Resolutions because of the flight deals and discounts on accommodations – which means you’re saving money altogether.

After doing some digging, here some of the best destinations to travel this January under $300 round-trip!

Puerto Rico

Even after the New Year,  there’s a lot happening in Puerto Rico in January. One of the biggest celebrations on the island, Three Kings Day, begins on Jan. 2 and will continue through Jan. 6.

In mid-January, the Festival de la Novilla de las Fiestas will be held in San Sebastian.

A trip to Managua, Nicaragua is perfect in January because of the optimal weather and low humidity.

There’s so much to do in the country’s capital city but we recommend getting all those outside activities out the way.   Why waste good weather?

Head to the Masaya Volcano for a night tour or try the unique experience of sandboarding at Cerro Negro Volcano.
