Best Brunch Spots In Amsterdam
By Parker Diakite
In a city known for its gorgeous canals and scenery, Amsterdam should also be known for its great brunch spots where you can eat and take it all in.
Here are some of the best brunch spots you should try during your next visit:
Water & Brood
The owners behind Water & Brood are no strangers to Travel Noire. As one of the few black-owned restaurants that offer brunch in Amsterdam, be sure to show your support.
Located on the corner of Weesperstraat and Nieuwe Kerkstraat in Amsterdam Centrum, Water & Brood has an “all-day brunch menu” that features pancakes, waffles, omelets, and more.
Gs A Really Nice Place*
If you’re looking for a unique experience in Amsterdam, then head to GS A Really Nice Place for brunch on a boat on the weekends. According to Gs team, this is the only brunch boat in the world.
On the cruise menu are drinks, of course, eggs benedict, waffles, and an “avo bae” sandwich.
Not interested in dining on a boat? No worries. There are two other locations on land.
Just be sure to book a reservation either way.
Harlem Soul Food
Located at Haarlemmerstraat 77, Harlem Soul Food offers comfort cuisine that unofficially includes brunch. The restaurant opens every day at 10:00 a.m. to serve your choice of breakfast, lunch, or both.
One of the most popular items on the menu is the Harlem Breakfast, which includes eggs, bacon, sausage, and beans.
Originally known as the “Brunchroom,” the owners decided to change the name to Wicked Waffles after developing a reputation for its freshly baked treats and to better reflect their products.
Described as the best waffles in the city, Wicked Waffles offers a variety of topping options, including bacon, avocado, fruit, cheese, and more. Your waffle, your choice.
For those of you who identify as vegetarian or vegan, MooShka is the place for you. The team at Mooshka focuses on vegan soulfood and is available for brunch Thursday through Sunday from noon to 9 p.m.
Did we mention it’s black-owned?
The Breakfast Club
Don’t let its name fool you. Sure, the Breakfast Club serves breakfast all day, including some of the fluffiest pancakes in Amsterdam with honey butter as a topping, but the menu also serves sandwiches, salads, smoothies, and more.
