Finding a black-owned boutique to patronize when traveling is always a win. With black designers and entrepreneurs making strides in the world of fashion, we hope that there will always be a place to spend our money that keeps our dollars in the black community. Here are a few black-owned boutiques run by black entrepreneurs and designers around the world.

New York

Harlem Haberdashery is known for its custom-made threads that have been seen on athletes, musicians, and fashion icons. Not only can you find one-of-a-kind pieces at this uptown boutique, but the brand has recently launched HH Bespoke Spirits which offers small-batch gin, vodka, and rum.

Washington D.C.

Lettie Gooch was founded by Teresa Watts, a former software saleswoman, and lifelong fashion lover. Located in the Shaw neighborhood of D.C., you will find pieces from emerging designers and top-notch customer service.

Los Angeles

Sneakerheads and athleisure lovers will love this LA-based store. With brands like Puma, TCG, Dita, Clear Weather, and limited edition releases from Nike, Laced Southbay will be an instant fave.

Atlanta

East Atlanta’s Pink Sky Boutique is a go-to shopping destination for ladies in the Atlanta area. Store owner Christi Hector’s goal was to bring fashion-forward, quality pieces to the city. It looks like she succeeded.

London

Handmade accessories are the name of the game at Frank Horn with each wallet, backpack, bag, and journal handcrafted in his east London studio.

Accra

In 2015, Stefania Manfreda opened the doors to Elle Lokko — a women’s boutique filled with locally sourced clothing, shoes, accessories, home decor, and organic beauty products.

Paris

If you’re looking for well-tailored classic pieces, Nefer Paris is worth a stop the next time you’re strolling through the streets of Paris. Daniel Tohou describes his line as “When French luxury meets Africa.”
