In addition to beautiful beaches, scenery, and hotels, the Caribbean has world-class restaurants serving exceptional dishes.

Caribbean countries are very diverse and it is certainly reflected in their foods with many dishes having influences from Africa, India, and England.

Caribbean Journal has been releasing it’s list of 50 Best Caribbean Restaurants since 2013 and this year is no different. 

The restaurants chosen are based on the dishes served, ambiance and service. 

“The Caribbean’s culinary scene is hotter than ever, and this year’s edition of the 50 best Caribbean restaurants is our most diverse list since we first launched the 50 Best back in 2013,” says the editor and publisher of the Caribbean Journal, Alexander Britell. 

Britell goes on to say, “These 50 restaurants exemplify the exciting gastronomic adventure that is today’s Caribbean culinary world. It’s a portfolio of very different but equally outstanding dining destinations.”

Here are the 50 best restaurants in the Caribbean, according to Caribbean Journal.

Sheer Rocks – Antigua

A new addition to the Caribbean culinary scene, Sheer Rocks has quickly moved up in the ranks as one of the hottest restaurants. The restaurant has Michelin-styled menus and is committed to culinary education and training. 

Brass Boer – Bonaire

Run by a husband and wife team, this restaurant is located on the sea and offers stunning views. 

Graycliff – The Bahamas

If you’re looking for a romantic atmosphere to have dinner with the one you love, Graycliff is your place. It also has one of the largest wine cellars in the world.

Screaming Eagle – Aruba

Screaming Eagle arguably serves up the best food in Aruba and is committed to serving only the finest ingredients. 

CocoMaya – Virgin Gorda, British Virgin Islands

Serving up Asian-fusion tapas, this restaurant is great for a chilled dinner on the beach. 

Ocean 82 – St Martin

This restaurant not only serves delicious food while overlooking the ocean, but the service is also impeccable.

Savant – St Croix

The menu is always changing, which is great for frequent diners. If you dine at Savant, you can expect torch-lit, magical vibes.

Blue by Eric Ripert – Cayman Island

If you’re into a wine-pairing tasting menu, Blue by Eric Ripert is your spot. 

Vianda – Puerto Rico 

This restaurant is owned by a couple from San Francisco who love minimalist design. The food is also mouthwatering. 

The Stone Barn – St Kitts

Located in a recreated stone barn, this restaurant serves up tasty food with a side of aesthetics. You can also find an amazing vegan tasting menu at The Stone Barn. 

Fish by Jose Andres – The Bahamas

Seafood lovers rejoice — this restaurant is all about seafood with an emphasis on serving up only locally-sourced, fresh ingredients. 

Le Tamarin – St Barth

Le Tamarin is all about laid-back dining while remaining classy with dishes like foie gras in rum Vieux. 

Baoase Culinary Beach Restaurant – Curacao 

Located on the edge of the beach, this restaurant is truly an experience to take in. 

The Landing – The Bahamas

The Landing is located on Harbour Island and has delicious food and beautiful decor.

Le Tropicana – St Martin

How does dining on the edge of the ocean sound? You can experience this for lunch or dinner while dining at Le Tropicana. 

Flying Fish GastroBar – The Bahamas

If you’re craving comfort food while in Grand Bahama, head to Flying Fish GastroBar. 

Le Temps de Cerises – St Martin

Located on Grand Case Beach, this vibrant restaurant has live music and an impressive menu of delicious authentic Saint Martin dishes. 

Uptown Eatery – St Croix

This small but mighty restaurant is run by a husband and wife team and serves up some of the most delicious fish on the island. 

The Cliff at Cap – Saint Lucia

You’ll have to travel to the far north of the island to dine at this restaurant but it’s well worth it. The cliffside restaurant has breathtaking views and amazing food. 

Chaud – Trinidad

Port of Spain is both the capital of Trinidad and where you’ll find some of the best restaurants on the island. Here, you’ll find street food with a fine-dining twist. 

The Cliff – Barbados

Located on the Platinum Coast, this restaurant has some of the best wines on the island to pair with your dinner. 

Le Petibonum – Martinique

This restaurant is perfect for a dining experience while having your toes in the sand. 

Parallell 23 – Turks and Caicos

This romantic dining experience is great for indulging in steaks, seafood, and superb wines.

Emilio’s – St Maarten

Located at the Rainforest Adventure Park, this elegant restaurant has a great wine list. 

Orlando’s – Saint Lucia

One of Saint Lucia’s best fine-dining experiences, Orlando’s offers authentic Caribbean dishes. 

Le Zandoli – Martinique

Located in La Suite Villa hotel is this artsy restaurant spearheaded by Michelin-starred chef Nicolas Magie.

La Savane – Guadeloupe

This African-themed restaurant serves amazing seafood and French-Caribbean dishes while dining on the water. 

Cocovan – Turks and Caicos 

The concept of Cocovan is a sit-down food truck that is both creative and playful. 

The Sugar Mill – Jamaica

Located in Montego Bay, this restaurant is fine-dining and is located in an old estate. 

Le Cottage – St Martin 

Le Cottage has amazing food in addition to great selections of wine and spirits. Best of all, the vibe is very chilled and it feels like you’re having a meal at home. 

Quarter Kitchen and Cocktail Lab – St Barth 

This restaurant serves up Asian-fusion and has great service and ambiance. 

Bistrot Caraibes – St Martin

The food served here is French Caribbean fusion and is absolutely delicious. 

La Table de Marcel – Martinique

This restaurant is headed by a Michelin-starred chef and the food and plating of food are exceptional. 

Cin Cin by the Sea – Barbados

Located on the ocean, this elegant restaurant serves up Italian-Caribbean cuisine and beautiful decor. 

Braata – St Croix 

Braata is great for those wanting Caribbean food and trying rums of the region. 

Pearl Beach – St Barth

Located on St Jean beach, this restaurant is a great lunch spot and romantic dinner dining destination. 

Le Pressoir – St Martin

Located in an old creole house, Le Pressoir is one of the best places to eat on the island and has a great prix-fixe menu. 

Veya – Anguilla 

Spearheaded by a husband and wife team, this restaurant is located in an old Caribbean home and has delicious food. 

Eating House 1503 – Cayman Islands

Satisfy your seafood cravings at this child restaurant headed by Hawaiian chef Roya Yamaguichi. 

Brandywine Estate Restaurant – British Virgin Islands

Located in Tortola is this fine-dining restaurant serving dishes like vegan meatballs and salmon Wellington. 

Upstairs at Kaibo – Cayman Islands

This restaurant has a selection of rare rums and gives off a creative, playful vibe with a fine-dining twist. 

Le Telegraphe – Saint Martin

Serving up classic French Caribbean dishes, this restaurant is an absolute delight. 

Roxxy – St Maarten
