Seattle is a city known for its great coffee (ahem, Starbucks), but it’s also a hot spot for phenomenal seafood. Since the city is near water, the seafood is super fresh and there is an abundance of great seafood spots.

From chilled spots to aesthetically pleasing spaces, Seattle has some of the best seafood joints in the country.

Here’s where you can find the best seafood restaurants on your next trip to Seattle.

The Walrus And The Carpenter

This is the spot for you if you’re an oyster lover. You can get them fresh or served fried with cilantro aioli. You can wash it all down with a glass of rose. This spot is quite popular in Seattle, so there may be a slight wait.

RockCreek Seafood & Spirits

You can find seafood dishes ranging from fish to oysters and shrimp at this eatery. It’s a bit on the expensive side and idea for a night out with bae or a nice dinner with friends.

Taylor Shellfish Oyster Bar

Another awesome spot for oysters is Taylor Shellfish Oyster Bar. It’s more laid back and you can also find fried shrimp po’boys and beer here.

Manolin

Manolin is definitely a spot to go to if you want to capture content for the ‘gram. The décor is absolutely beautiful and the menu is influenced by Southwestern cuisine. For example, you can try the rockfish ceviche or grilled cod with mole and cilantro cream.

Little Chinook’s

A wallet-friendly option, this restaurant serves almost any type of fish and chip combination. You can find salmon, halibut, lingcod, clams, shrimp and more while getting a view of the yachts on the Salmon Bay docks. This is the perfect spot to get a true taste of Seattle seafood.

Market Grill

When at Market Grill, you have to try the blackened salmon sandwich served on a charred baguette – we promise you won’t regret it! Other notable dishes to try are the tuna poke and grilled halibut.

Freemont Bowl

If you’re super hungry and on a budget, Freemont Bowl is the location for you. You can get large portions of seafood for great prices with options such as poke, donburi bowls, and seared salmon.

Frank’s Oyster House

Not only can you find delicious oysters at this spot, you can also find lobster rolls that will make your mouth water. If you’re with someone who can’t eat seafood, there are options such as fried chicken or cheeseburgers.

No Anchor

Although No Anchor is technically a beer bar, there is great seafood to be had here. Notable dishes include shellfish rolls, Dungeness crab and shrimp with lemon aioli served on a homemade pretzel bun.

Aqua

If you’re looking for a reason to splurge or treat yourself while in Seattle, head to Aqua. For $98, you can get king crab legs served with black truffle aioli. Yes, the price is high but the deliciousness is priceless.

Mariscos Mexico

Craving seafood tacos? This cash-only spot has got you covered! Not only can you get amazing tacos here, you’ll also be able to try catfish soup and fried calamari.

Shiro’s

Possibly the best place to get sushi in Seattle, Shiro’s allows you to sit at the bar and order as much sushi as you want!

Bait Shop

Fish and chips are the highlight at this Seattle eatery. You can also get battered codfish in a sandwich or on its own while chilling in a laidback environment.

Vinnie’s Raw Bar

Head to Vinnie’s Raw Bar for an evening of wine and seafood. There are so many seafood options, you may have trouble deciding where to start. You can choose from oysters on the half-shell, steamed butterfish, butter-poached shrimp cocktail and more.

Matt’s In The Market

People come here for the fried catfish sandwich and leave extremely satisfied. The eatery has been serving up catfish sandwiches for over 20 years and has never compromised on its taste.

100 Pound Clam

This spot is perfect for a wallet-friendly date! The space is nice and the food is even nicer. You can sip on champagne while indulging in oysters and fish and chips.

Blueacre Seafood

This sleek location is perfect to find wild seafood and choices from the raw bar like oysters and mussels. The bar area also has cocktails, wines, and craft beers.

Pike Place Chowder

Surely a tourist hotspot, Pike Place Market has eight different kinds of chowders. Every day small batches of the chowders are made using fresh seafood and vegetables.

Bar Melusine

This spot has a beautiful décor with a French vibe. Head to the white marble oyster bar for an aesthetically pleasing experience.
