A passenger drowned on the Caribbean Princess cruise ship on the morning of June 14th. The man in his 30s was found at the bottom of the Neptune pool.

It is reported that the passenger had been drinking the night before while attending the 24K Gold Deck Party on the ship’s pool deck. The passenger entered the pool and swam until the early hours of the morning, according to reports. Other passengers were entering and exiting the pool during this time as well.

It is still unclear if the pool was supposed to be closed and whether or not the area was supposed to be patrolled by security during the time of the passenger’s death.

The incident was reported by a crew member and passenger, who both wanted to remain anonymous.

CPR was performed on the passenger but the attempts to resuscitate him had failed.

The Caribbean Princess was sailing back to the U.S. from Cozumel, Mexico during a 7-day cruise, which began on June 9th and returned to Fort Lauderdale on June 15th.

An autopsy on the passenger’s body will most likely be performed by the Broward County Medical Examiner’s office in For Lauderdale.

This is not the first drowning incident on a Princess Cruise ship.
