Here Are The Four Best Places To Visit In May

By Parker Diakite

While it’s not technically summer, the month of May is widely acknowledged as the unofficial start of summer.

The summer season often comes with an increase in tourism due to the combination of perfect weather and summer breaks, which also means flight prices are higher than normal due to the shift in demand.

May is a great time to travel if you’re looking to squeeze in a vacation before the peak tourism season that summer brings.

Here are four of the best places to visit in May that are affordable:

Costa Rica

Even though it’s considered rainy season, you will find that May is one of the best times to visit Costa Rica. Peak tourist season in Costa Rica lasts from December to April, so not only are flight prices dropping but hotel prices are falling as well.
