Multiple airline carriers have flight deals to Amsterdam. One of the lowest price routes with the shortest flying time is out of New York for $319.

The low-priced flights have dates starting in January through early March. You can find departures from Charlotte that will price out for under $500. This is an excellent price because flights from Charlotte to Amsterdam are generally over $800 roundtrip.

Flights out of D.C. are as low as $333 round trip via Icelandair. If you want to fly nonstop, you can fly with KLM for about $100 more.

January to March can be some of the coldest months in Amsterdam. Luckily, the city doesn’t get a lot of snow so you won’t have to worry about that. Just be sure to pack enough layers to keep you warm while you head out to explore.

Americans have a deep love for Amsterdam. The capital of the Netherlands has a fun culture, deep history, gorgeous architecture and an easy-to-navigate layout that makes it a must-see for visitors, no matter what your interests are. You can be strolling the streets of Amsterdam for much less than you think if you book airfare now.

The city is known for its artistic heritage, elaborate canal system and narrow houses with gabled facades, legacies of the city’s 17th-century Golden Age. Its Museum District houses the Van Gogh Museum, works by Rembrandt and Vermeer at the Rijksmuseum, and modern art at the Stedelijk. Cycling is key to the city’s character, and there are numerous bike paths.
