Ari Lennox Wants Us To Abolish Zoos & Travel The World Instead
By Stephanie Ogbogu
Ari Lennox caused quite a stir on social media when she suggested that people travel the world to see animals in their natural habitat instead of going to zoos.
The conversation was prompted by Myah Autry, the 32-year-old woman who climbed into the lion’s den at the Bronx Zoo earlier this week and miraculously made it out unscathed.
Like any other animal lover, Ari wasn’t feeling the close encounter between the woman and the lion and felt something needed to be done about it.
While some people agreed with the Shea Butter Baby singer, others took offense, citing that everyone does not have the money to travel and because Ari is a celebrity, her opinion was coming from a place of privilege.
However, Ari believes that you don’t have to be wealthy to travel.
Unfortunately, when it comes to social media, you can’t please everybody. The Dreamville singer assured fans that she did not come from a place of shame and only wanted to inspire, and of course, protect the precious animals. She also makes it very clear that despite popular belief, she’s nowhere near rich.
One thing Ari Lennox is definitely right about is that traveling doesn’t have to break the bank. Looking for a few articles to help you see the world for less? Check out the ones below:
