Being a mom is probably one of the most strenuous, yet rewarding jobs in the world. You have to make sure everyone in the home is taken care of, while sometimes forgetting about yourself. That’s why they invented momcations.

Momcations are a time for mothers to briefly step away from motherhood and catering to the needs and wants of everyone else. Imagine a few days of peace, calmness, and no one asking you for deserts and snacks every hour.

To moms in need, here are the best cities for a momcation.

New York, NY

New York is such a neutral destination suitable for moms of all ages and there’s so much to do. There are Broadway shows, performances in Central Park, and some of the best late-night food you can eat without having to share. True New Yorkers know what I mean.

Las Vegas, NV

Sin City isn’t just for bachelorette weekends, it’s the adult version of Disneyland equipped with extraordinary shows, long walks on the strip for shopping sprees, and a variety of eateries. Go Urban Vegas has got you covered for entertainment, comedy shows, happy hours, parties, and more.

Hershey, Pennsylvania

Relax at the chocolate-inspired spa and enjoy exclusive Hershey’s Dark Chocolate sweets. I’m not even a mom but coconut body scrubs, chocolate, and champagne facials, and mojito body wraps sounds relaxing to me.

Atlanta, GA

Sometimes all moms ever want is some peace and quiet and they’ll enjoy the #1 most wish-listed property in the world. Revitalize your mind, body, and spirit at this secluded magical treehouse and sleep on Egyptian cotton sheets.

Nashville, TN

Start your morning with a healthy vegan-friendly breakfast at The Southern V, where the ‘hot chick ‘n’ biscuits are a must-try. Tour the city’s deep connection to country music and its many historical landmarks. Grab your girls for some life-size Jenga at Kung Fu Saloon or hit up the bowling alley at Pinewood Social.

San Francisco, CA

Enjoy a few nights out on the town in San Francisco’s historic live music district. If you’re not too tired, head to a morning yoga class at Anasa Yoga near Oakland

Savannah, GA

A culturally rich city with over 200 years worth of black history and heritage. Get in touch with your nature side on a kayak tour, where you may spot some eagles or dolphins. Don’t forget your secret bag of mom snacks and a blanket for a picnic at Forsyth Park

Tampa, FL

Florida is for families but Tampa’s where the adult hangout. Escape to this island-inspired destination spa and their only request, “You MUST spread the LOVE!” Tampa is also a hot port for departing themed-cruises

New Orleans, LA

New Orleans is one of the cheapest places to visit. Bourbon Street tends to get pretty lively during the day and night, especially during Mardi Gras. Go dancing to the sound of New Orleans music with cool street dancers performers in this multicultural city.

Sedona, AZ

See the sights on a Pink Jeep Tour after exploring the hiking trails in Sedona, a two-hour drive from the Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport. If you’re free, wander through some of the most popular wineries in the area such as Oak Creek Vineyards, Javeline Leap Vineyard and more.
